Intercultural collaboration is key to #OneTGW 🌎💡💪

“Those who recognize differences, truly recognize them, can create common ground!”✨The latest MINDtastic Forum keynote inspired over 120 TGW Logistics colleagues with insights on how to sharpen intercultural awareness for even more success in global projects.
The “Interkulturelle Zusammenarbeit” keynote on 10. December by Martina Farnberger, trainer in intercultural competence, highlighted that those who consciously recognize and reflect on these differences can turn cultural diversity into a strength to drive understanding and business effectiveness.
Why is this topic so important?
TGW Logistics projects are international, our teams are diverse, and that’s exactly where our strength lies. But cultural diversity also brings challenges: there are often misunderstandings about greetings, punctuality, or the meaning of “No, thanks”.
Over 120 colleagues joined live at the Helix or online, where we learned:
- Understanding Culture: models like the Iceberg Model and the five cultural dimensions, including trust, communication, decision-making, time perception, and dealing with rules
- Practical Tools: the Five-Finger Model for addressing misunderstandings
- Strategic relevance: intercultural competence is a critical success factor for TGW Logistics
